The Journey to Creating American Made Holster Pillows
It all started with a simple problem. After getting my concealed carry license, I picked up a few holsters and quickly realized that carrying inside the waistband (IWB) was uncomfortable. Worse yet, proper concealment felt like an impossible trade-off.
Like any determined problem-solver, I dove into research—scouring forums, seeking advice from fellow carriers, and testing every wedge and pillow I could find.
But nothing truly solved the issue.
Comfort and concealment seemed mutually exclusive—until I decided to change that.

A DIY Solution (With a Few Hiccups)
Frustrated but determined, I set out to create my own solution.
I bought an inexpensive sewing machine on Amazon, sourced materials, and borrowed inspiration from my favorite sleeping pillow.
There was just one small problem—I had never used a sewing machine in my life.
My kids had a front-row seat to my hilarious trial-and-error process, but somehow, I managed to create a mini pillow that attached to my holster.
And to my surprise, it worked.
Beautifully.
Comfort and concealment seemed mutually exclusive—until I decided to change that.
Excited, I shared my creation in the same online forums where I had originally sought advice.
“So I saw these posted on here and figured I’d give them a shot and wow what a difference in comfort!”
“I have a really small frame; these are godsends for helping me conceal. Especially since I do like carrying full sized metal.”
I had no intention of starting a business—I was just thrilled to have made something that worked for me. But then, the unexpected happened. People started asking if I could make one for them. Without hesitation, I said, “Sure!”
I wasn’t an expert seamster, but I knew one thing: quality mattered. The materials I had chosen were top-notch, and I refused to cut corners.
From Hobby to Hustle
Word spread fast.
Orders started rolling in, and suddenly, my little homemade pillows were gaining traction in the concealed carry community. My wife found it hysterical; I found it incredible.
What started as a simple DIY fix had turned into something real.
The thought of not having these American Made Holster Pillows just felt wrong.
As demand grew, I realized I couldn’t keep up with the sewing on my own.
That’s when we hired an elderly woman in our community to help. She wasn’t just a seamstress—she became part of our journey.
Having recently lost a loved one, she told us this gave her purpose and joy, which made the whole experience even more meaningful.
At this point, we knew we needed consistency. But none of us had experience creating proper templates. So, in true DIY fashion, we grabbed some cardboard and made our own cutting templates—doing our best to make everything as professional as possible.
Another stepping stone.
Another lesson learned.
The Learning Curve (And the Big Decision)
Through this process, I learned everything from scratch—manufacturing, sourcing fabric vendors, understanding memory foam variations, testing different Velcro options, and perfecting sizing.
It was a crash course in product development, but I loved every second of it.
As word spread, someone suggested I take production overseas to cut costs.
It may have seemed like an obvious business move to some—but it didn’t sit right with me. The thought of not having these American Made Holster Pillows just felt wrong.
So, we said, “F that.”
Keeping everything made in the USA was never just about business—it was about quality, integrity, and supporting our local community.
- We source all our materials here, from the fabric to the foam to the Velcro.
- We believe in American craftsmanship.
- We take pride in knowing that every single American Made Holster Pillow we ship is made right here, by hardworking hands that care.
Built by Hand, Backed by Passion
Even now, my family and I are still 100% involved in every step of the process. We personally trim, stuff, and inspect each pillow by hand—everything except the sewing, which we’ve outsourced to a local company to keep up with demand.
Every product we ship is a reflection of our commitment to quality and comfort.
Looking back, it’s wild to see how far we’ve come. From a guy struggling with a sewing machine to a family-run operation built on passion and community support, this journey has been nothing short of amazing.
And the best part?
We’re just getting started.
