Kore 1.75″ MOLLE battle belts — rated to 20 lb, complete kits with inner belt, micro-adjustable ratchet fit.
A battle belt is a two-part system. The reinforced inner belt threads through your pant loops and stays there; the MOLLE outer rides on it and carries the load. That means you can pull the whole rig on and off without unthreading a belt every time, and your pouches keep their position between sessions.
Kore rates the 1.75″ battle belt at 20 lb — twice a 1.5″ tactical belt and two-thirds of a 2.25″ duty belt. That is the right band for range work, training and duty-adjacent loadouts where you are carrying pouches on MOLLE rather than a full patrol rig.
Battle belt vs duty belt vs gun belt
1.5″ gun belt — 10 lb — concealed carry, holster and a spare mag
1.75″ MOLLE battle belt — 20 lb — pouches, range, training
2.25″ duty belt — 30 lb — full patrol load, whole shift
Micro-adjustable, not hole-punched
The ratchet track adjusts in quarter-inch increments with over 40 sizing positions instead of the five or six a hole pattern offers. On a loaded battle belt that is the difference between the rig sitting where you set it and the rig sliding as you move.
We ship the padded inner belt as standard
Kore charges the same for the padded and non-padded reinforced inner belt, so every battle belt here comes with the padded version — 2 mm more cushion where it counts, at no extra cost.
Battle belt FAQ
What is a battle belt used for?
Carrying magazines, a medical kit, a dump pouch and often a holster on MOLLE webbing, without hanging that weight off your trouser belt. It is the standard platform for range work, carbine training and duty-adjacent loadouts.
Do I need the inner belt?
Yes — it is what the outer rides on and what keeps the rig from shifting. Every kit here includes the padded reinforced inner belt.
What size should I order?
Measure over the clothing you will actually wear it on, not over bare jeans. The strap is cut to size on fitting, and cut belts cannot be returned, exchanged or claimed as damaged, so measure twice.
Can I run a holster on it?
Yes, on the MOLLE webbing. If you are carrying concealed instead, a 1.5″ belt is the correct width — see the best concealed carry belt.
For a heavier sustained load worn in uniform, the 2.25″ platform is the right call — see our leather duty belt guide. Sizing for any Kore belt is covered in the Kore belt sizing guide.
