What makes a leather gun belt different from a normal leather belt?
A leather gun belt is reinforced through the strap so it does not fold under the weight of a holstered firearm. A dress belt has no internal stiffener, so it rolls at the waist, the holster cants outward and the grip prints. The leather looks the same; the core is what does the work.

Will a leather gun belt work with a suit?
Yes — that is the main reason to choose leather over nylon. A black ArmorTek or buffalo strap reads as an ordinary dress belt under a jacket while carrying a holster and a spare magazine. Nothing about it announces that it is a gun belt.

Which leather should I choose?
Buffalo leather is the softest-looking and the most traditional. ArmorTek is engineered for the look of cowhide with roughly twice the durability, so it is the better pick if you wear one belt every day. Basketweave is ArmorTek with the stamped pattern many departments specify.

How does the sizing work with no holes?
The buckle engages a toothed track inside the strap in quarter-inch increments — over 40 positions against the five or six a punched belt gives you. You cut the strap once to your measurement, then micro-adjust daily. Cut belts cannot be returned, exchanged or claimed as damaged, so measure first.
