I made this because I got tired of my carry gear ending up in a different spot every night. Keys on the counter, wallet by the door, spare mag who-knows-where. Every morning was a small scavenger hunt before I’d even had coffee. So I built the tray I wanted: one honest spot that holds all of it. I print every one of these myself in reinforced carbon fiber, right here in the USA.
What Is an EDC Dump Tray?
An EDC dump tray is the simplest useful thing in your house. It’s a shallow tray that lives wherever you land at the end of the day — nightstand, entry table, dresser — and it holds your everyday carry in one place. You walk in, you “dump”: wallet, keys, watch, spare magazine, knife, earbuds. In the morning you pick it all back up in one pass instead of hunting room to room.
I resisted the idea for a long time because it sounded like a fancy word for a bowl. Then I used one for a week and never went back. Once your carry has a home, you stop half-consciously worrying about where any of it is. That’s the whole value, and it’s bigger than it sounds.
Why There’s No Gun Holder in This Tray
If you’ve shopped EDC trays, you’ve seen the ones with a molded pistol cradle built in. I left that out on purpose, and I want to be straight about why.
First, safety. A loaded pistol lying exposed in an open tray on your nightstand is not how I stage a firearm, and I’m not going to design a product that encourages it. My gun stays in its holster — and the holster is what goes in the tray.
Second, space. A dedicated gun spot eats up a huge piece of the tray’s real estate for something that shouldn’t be there in the first place. Leaving it out is why this tray swallows an entire pocket dump — holster included — instead of making everything else fight for the leftover corner.
Reinforced Carbon Fiber vs. Aluminum EDC Trays
Most of the nicer trays out there are aluminum. I went a different direction on purpose, and it’s not just “mine’s different.”
Aluminum looks great in a photo, but I don’t love it in daily use. It’s cold to the touch when you grab it in the morning. It rings — drop a handful of keys on aluminum and the whole house hears it. And hard metal is rough on everything you set down in it, night after night.
I make this tray in reinforced carbon fiber instead. It’s tough — it holds up to being used hard every day, which is the whole point of a thing you throw your keys into. It isn’t cold when you touch it. It sets down quiet. You get the durability you’d want from metal without the parts of metal I never liked. That’s the trade I made, and after living with both, I’d make it again.
Sized for Your Everyday Carry
I sized this around a real carry load, not a catalog photo. The footprint is 10″ x 7″ and it stands barely over half an inch tall — low-profile on the nightstand — with a 3/8″-deep well that keeps a magazine or a folding knife from skating out. Four rubber feet on the bottom keep it planted when you grab your keys one-handed.
What it holds: your watch, keys, wallet, spare change, a spare magazine, your holster, AirPods, a folding knife — even a Cloudster Pillow — and the rest of your pocket dump. You can see a full load-out in the photos.
Made in the USA, Made to Order
I don’t warehouse these by the thousand overseas. I print each tray myself, in the USA, and every one gets looked at by me before it ships. That’s not a slogan — it’s just how a one-man operation works, and it’s why I stand behind every unit personally. If something’s wrong with yours, you’re emailing the guy who made it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an EDC dump tray?
It’s a shallow tray that holds your everyday carry — wallet, keys, watch, spare magazine, knife — in one staged spot, so you can offload at night and re-pocket in seconds in the morning.
Does this tray have a gun holder?
No — on purpose. A loaded pistol lying loose in an open tray isn’t safe staging, and a molded gun cradle eats up room the rest of your carry needs. Your pistol stays in its holster, and the holster goes in the tray with everything else.
What is the tray made of?
Reinforced carbon fiber — chosen so it’s durable, quiet to set things down in, and not cold to the touch like metal.
Is a reinforced carbon fiber tray better than an aluminum EDC tray?
It isn’t cold to the touch like aluminum, won’t ring when you drop keys in it, and holds up to daily use. You get the durability of metal with a warmer, quieter feel.
What fits in the tray?
A watch, keys, wallet, spare change, a spare magazine, a holster, AirPods, and a folding knife — a full pocket dump, with room for a Cloudster Pillow too.
Is it made in the USA?
Yes — I make each one to order, here in the USA.
