Kore Nylon Duty Belt 2.25″

The nylon version of Kore’s 2.25″ duty belt. Same ratchet track and the same 30 lb load rating as the leather, in a lighter synthetic outer belt that shrugs off weather and cleans up with a damp cloth. If your department doesn’t specify a finish, this is the one most officers end up preferring for a long shift.

Why a ratchet duty belt

A holed duty belt gives you one fit per hole, roughly an inch apart. That is fine standing at the start of a shift and much less fine eight hours later in a car seat with a vest on. The Kore track adjusts in quarter-inch increments — over 40 positions — and you change it without taking the belt off. In practice you tighten it walking into a call and let it out on the drive back.

What’s in the kit

This is a complete kit, not just an outer belt: the 2.25″ nylon outer belt, the 1.5″ inner Velcro belt, your chosen buckle, a tip keeper, an inner belt clip, sizing tape, and the hex wrench and set screws. Nothing else to buy to put it on.

The padded inner belt is not an upsell

Kore charges the same for the reinforced inner belt and the padded reinforced inner belt, so we don’t treat the padded one as an upgrade — ask for it and that is what ships. On a heavy loadout the padding is the difference you feel first, across the hips.

Buckles and sizing

D1 and D2 are the plain duty buckles. D3 comes in brass or chrome for departments that specify a finish; those run $10 more. Standard fits a 24″–48″ waist, XL goes to 60″. Measure over the gear you actually wear it with, not over a t-shirt — the vest and inner belt add up.

Before you cut it

These are cut to length, and a cut belt cannot be returned, exchanged or warrantied — that is Kore’s policy and we can’t make exceptions to it. Measure twice, cut once, and leave it long the first time if you’re unsure. Everything else carries Kore’s one-year warranty against defects.
